This tour will take the tourists on a discovery. Cruise by Catamaran and an ancient Totora ship the blue waters of Titicaca Lake, spend a full day visiting the Copacabana pilgrimage center and the mysterious Sun Island attractions. Departs from Puno or from La Paz city.
Location of the tour
The tour will cover the Titicaca Lake and other tourist destinations around this ancestral attraction: Puno - Copacabana - Sun Island - Inti Wata Complex - Chua - La Paz city or vice versa.Tour Itinerary:
The journey will start with early in the morning with a 3 hours bus trip from Puno city to Copacabana town. The guide will be all the time taking care of the details and explaining about the route and the tourist attractions of the area.
Once in Copacabana town the tourists will make a 20 minutes tour of the surroundings, visiting the cathedral pilgrimage center and the Copacabana main square.
Later the group will go to Copacabana Port to board the Catamaran and start a one hour tour cruising the blue waters of the Titicaca Lake towards the Sun Island.
Refreshments on board.
The Catamaran will take the tourists to the south side of the Sun Island. Visitors will trek for approximately one hour and a half, visiting the Inca Garden, Inca steps, Sacred Inca Fountain, the Intiwata complex and later participate in a Kallawaya (Inca sorcerer) ancestral ceremony.
Subsequently the tourists will return to the Sun Island port to board a traditional and exclusive Totora ship and will take a half hour boat ride. This demonstration of the ancestral navigation methods of the lake will finish with a visit to Pilkokaina Inca Palace.
The Catamaran Cruise on the Titicaca Lake will take approximately two hours and a half from Sun Island to Chua Island.
Buffet Lunch on board.
Arrival to Chua.
Return trip by bus approximately 1 and a half hours from Chua to La Paz city.
