This 3 Day tour of the amazing Bolivian Amazon is a unique experience that will take you to the heart of the Madidi National Park. Learn the secrets of the rainforest and be amazed by its distinctive fauna!
Location of the tour
The tour takes place in the Bolivian Amazon Area, specifically in the heart of the Madidi National Park which is characterized by its exceptional biological richness and variety of ecosystems.
Meeting point: Rurrenabaque town at 9:00
The journey will start with a short walk towards the Beni River to cross to San Buenaventura town.
Next you will board a motorboat to travel approximately 3 to 4 hours on the Beni River, observing the spectacle of the Bala Gorge, birds and macaws. Travelers will need a bottle of water for the trip (2 liters each) and cash to pay the entrance ticket to the Madidi National Park (150 Bs.-).
Lodging in cabins.
After lunch you will take a 3 to 4 hour walk on natural paths and will learn about medicinal and toxic rainforest plants.
Return to the camp for dinner.
Night walk on natural paths for about an hour to observe the night wild life (insects, night birds, bats, rodents, monkeys, reptiles and more).
Return to the camp
3 hour walk in the rainforest.
The guide will explain about the common uses of rainforest plants e.g. repellents and paints.
Return to the camp for lunch.
In the afternoon you will have two options: Relax at the camp making seed handicrafts (necklaces, bracelets, rings) or take a walk to learn more about the rainforest vegetation.
Night walk for about an hour to listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe the night wild life.
Walk towards the saltpeter fields to observe animals like dears and wild pigs as well as other species that visit this area to acquire natural salts.
Return to the camp for lunch.
Return to Rurrenabaque.
Arrival to Rurrenabaque town at 16:30 approximately.

Tourists should leave the luggage that they won't use at the office in Rurrenabaque. A safe deposit box will be provided.
