The Umajalanta Cavern is 4600 meters long. The majestic entrance is approximately 20 meters high and 30 meters wide, the cavern structure is formed by calcareous rock, sandstone and plaster.

Umajalanta is a Quechua word that means: water lost in the darkness of the deepest earth. The cavern is formed by huge bolts and galleries united by narrow paths. The interior of Umajalanta acquires fanciful shapes named: the concert hall, the virgin and child hall, the weeping willow and the Christmas tree. These create a path of amazing and ancient rock spectacles that lead to the biggest hall that houses a small lagoon or spring inhabitated by blind silver fish.
