Itinerary:
Departure: December 31st
Day 1
La Paz - Lake Titicaca - Chua - Overnight
Pick up Hotel La Paz: 15:00 (12/31/2020 - Subject to confirmation)
In the afternoon we will leave La Paz to go by land to the port of Chua located on the minor side of the Titicaca Lake, also called "Wi�ay Marca". There we will start the celebration with a bonfire and tasting a delicious punch while we enjoy a small folk music show presented by the local community.
We will board the catamaran and have time to prepare for New Year's dinner, toast at midnight and dance party to start the year with the best energy.
In addition, we will have several surprises to receive the new year.
Overnight aboard the catamaran in double cabins with heating, hot water, private bathroom and exterior view.
Day 2
Chua - Sun Island/Isla del Sol (South) - Inti Wata Cultural Complex - Copacabana - La Paz
We will sail aboard the Cruise to the sacred Island of the Sun, cradle of the Inca Empire while enjoying a delicious breakfast on board. On this legendary island you can visit the Garden, the Stairs and the Fountain of the Inca.
The itinerary includes the exclusive visit to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia. We will visit the underground museum of the Ekako, the centers of traditional medicine and construction of totora rafts, see the Pachamama terraces of Inca agriculture, an artisan center, the Intica refuge and the largest variety of Andean camelids located in the "Manco Kapac" viewpoint. We will also participate in an ancestral Andean ceremony, lead by a Kallawaya from the Island. He will perform a blessing and ask for prosperity of the new year. The visit to the Inti Wata Complex also includes the incredible opportunity to navigate aboard an immense typical Totora raft of and a panoramic visit to the Inca palace of Pilkokaina.
Afterwards, the catamaran is boarded again to enjoy a special New Year's lunch while we marvel at the landscape of Lake Titicaca. Arrival at the port to return by land to La Paz.
Return Hotel La Paz: 19:30 approx.
