Day 1
You will depart from La Paz city towards Tiwanaku, where you will visit the remnants of a magnificient and enigmatic pre-colombian culture's capital.
You will tour the ceramics museum to get an idea of the timeline of this civilization and see the pieces found at this site. Then you will go to the Lithic Museum where the precisely sculpted great monoliths are exhibited. You will pass on to the archeological complex with its enormous, perfectly cut and engraved stone constructions that were once part of the temples.
After this visit, you will travel to Copacabana and have trout for lunch on the shores of Lake Titicaca. In Copacabana, you will visit the Basilica and see the paintings of the story of Tito Yupanqui, the sculptor of the 'Virgin of Copacabana', which is venerated by the indigenous and the spanish since the 16th century.
Day 2
You will board a boat to the Sun Island (Isla del Sol), which is the biggest and most sacred of Lake Titicaca. The Incas made pilgrimages here from Cuzco. From the island, you will have spetacular views of the andean mountains contrasting with the deep blue waters of the lake. You will visit the ruins of Pilkokaina, where the sun-priests lived, the Stairs of the Inca, the fountain and the gardens, all located on the south part of the island.
In the afternoon, you will visit the attractions on northern part of the Sun Island: the sacred stone from where the founders of the Inca Empire are said to have emerged and the Chinkana labyrinth.

Day 3
You will navigate to the Moon Island (Isla de la Luna), where the Sun Virgins (Ñustas) used to live in their 'convent'.
After visitng this smaller island, you will return to La Paz.
Note:
On the Sun Island there are no cars and walks can take up to an hour, climbing steep slopes to get to hotels and attractions.
Passengers who cannot or do not wan to walk can take boat rides.
We suggest you carry as little luggage as possible with you.
