Day 1
You will leave from La Paz city towards the Sajama National Park (Parque Nacional Sajama), the first protected area in Bolivia. On the way, you will visit the "Chullpares": pre-columbian tombs built for mummies by the aymaras. Afterwards, you will stop to visit the Curahuara de Carangas church that has 17th century frescos and has been called the "Sistine Chapel" of the Andes. You will enter the park and proceed to Tomarapi to check in at the community hotel at the feet of the beautiful Sajama mountain. It is the highest in Bolivia, reaching 6543 meters above sea level. In the afternoon you will relax in the thermal waters in a natural environment.
Day 2
After breakfast you will visit the volcanic geysers, enjoying the beauty of the park. Later, you will visit the quewiña (or que-ñua) forests. These are the trees that grow at the highest altitude in the world.
You will have lunch at the town of Sajama and later return to La Paz city.
